Venue Supervisor
Annual, Part Time to Seasonal Full-Time (Flexible Part Time)
Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s (LTSF) Venue Supervisor has primary reponsibility
for the ongoing safety, security and operational efficiency of our amphitheater site at
Sand Harbor, Nevada State Park. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), this team
member works with the management staff to maximize the patron experience each
summer.
What you will do as part of the LTSF team:
- Set up and strike venue for the season. Plan and execute the preparation and
construction of the Sand Harbor site to coincide with the theatrical season, and
dismantle post-season. Incorporate annual capital improvements into the site as
necessary. Facilitate all necessary site and equipment inspections throughout
the year. - Maintain safety and security of site through the year. Regularly visit Sand
Harbor throughout the off-season to ensure structures and equipment are
maintained securely and safely. - Cultivate and nurture relationships. Maintain primary relationships with
Nevada State Parks, security and maintenance companies, food & beverage
contractor (related to their facilities needs), and product vendors.
Manage customer service-focused personnel. Recruit, train and manage
seasonal site staff. - Collaborate with production team. Assist production team with coordination
and resources needed for load-in and strike of sets and equipment. - Budget for immediate and long-term needs. Develop and maintain annual
facilities operational budgets. Plan and develop budgets for long-term capital
repairs and upgrades to facilities and equipment. - Contribute to a team-centric culture. Support LTSF activities throughout the
season.

- Experience in any/many of the following related areas: venue operations,
construction, community outreach and engagement, vendor relations and
management, personnel training and supervision, budgeting and purchasing - Good internet & computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with tools and light equipment
This is a salaried position with flexible hours through 9 months of the year that reflect
the dynamic schedule of the theater. The position will work roughly an average of 10
hours/month in the off-season (Oct. – May), 10 hours per week in the “shoulder”
seasons (first two weeks of June, and the month of September through the first week of
Oct.) and 40 hours/week during the busiest periods (mid-June through the end of
August), which include site preparation and the duration of the production season. Pay
range for this position is based on a rate of $25 – $30 per hour. While weekly hours will
vary throughout the year, pay per pay period (twice per month) and benefits will remain
consistent. Our benefits include full health, dental and vision insurance, as well as a
