The only thing that stands between Bianca and a bevy of eligible suitors is her quick-tempered, elder sister Katherina. That is until fortune-hunting Petruchio takes up the challenge to “tame” Kate and make her his wife. A madcap marriage and much mayhem ensues in a beguiling battle of wits and wills between the sexes which ultimately reveals an unlikely romance. Can love tame a shrewish heart and surprise an unbridled bachelor?
Back by popular demand, for this production, we again will transform our Warren Edward Trepp Stage into an Elizabethan theater, including SEATING SECTIONS ON STAGE – surrounding the playing area and creating an immersive experience for audiences! Onstage seats afford a variety of seating experiences which include padded benches with backs, table/chair seats and balcony tier seats. All onstage seating is assigned. (Please note that stairs are required to access balcony tier seats.) Consider ONSTAGE seating when planning your visit to enjoy the fullness of this unique production.
Parking Note: Beginning in 2019, a Nevada State Parks Entrance Pass is required to gain access to and park at the venue that Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival calls home for all events. The $10/per vehicle/per day fee is required by Nevada law and may be used to access Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park after 5:00 p.m. on the date listed on the Pass only. While LTSF does not benefit directly from Nevada State Parks Entrance Pass fees, we are pleased to afford our patrons the convenience of securing Nevada State Parks Entrance Passes in advance of their visits as part of our ticket purchasing processes. Please consider adding-on an Entrance Pass(es) as part of your purchase to facilitate ease of access during your visit.
