FESTIVAL OFFERS A HELPING HAND TO FELLOW NON-PROFITS Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival Develops New Staff Volunteer Program

Committed to encouraging volunteerism and community involvement within the organization, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival created “Helping Hands” in early 2008. The program, the brainchild of Festival Executive Director Catherine Atack, was established to benefit the nonprofit entities comprising the Parasol Community Collaboration (PCC) that includes more than 50 organizations and groups in and around Lake Tahoe of which the Festival is a member. Since May, Festival staff have donated more than 50 hours of time through the program.

Reno Baroque Ensemble Performs for Two Dates Only

Committed to providing the finest cultural events in the Reno-Tahoe community, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival brings the music of the Reno Baroque Ensemble together with soloists and orchestral artists from the Sacramento Philharmonic, the Reno Chamber Orchestra and the Reno Philharmonic in two rare holiday performances.

Hold-Over Performance Schedule Announced for The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival

For the first time in its 36 year history, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is extending its season past its traditional six-week schedule offering patrons one last chance to catch two of the season's plays. The hold-over week schedule includes a final performance of "CAMBIO" Monday, Aug. 18 followed by three nights of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Aug. 19 - 21.
