PROPERTIES MASTER

Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, and Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival are seeking experienced and motivated applicants for the position of Properties Master. This unique position offers an Artist the opportunity to work in 3 regional theater companies, collaborating with a core artistic team of nationally recognized directors, designers and highly skilled production artists. The Props Master will collaborate with the artistic team and production staff to create and procure all furniture, props, and set dressing for each production. Candidates should possess skills in theatrical building techniques, furniture construction, sewing, upholstery, painting and specialty props fabrication. The position will also lead and manage a small team of props artists and oversee budgets. Candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, be able to communicate effectively across all departments, and thrive in an active, fast-paced environment. SEASONAL POSITIONS 

The 2015 Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival will run from July 10th through August 23rd.   Most positions are available during the actual run of the Festival, however, please note that some positions may offer pre/post hours.  These hours are generally "on-call" and may be offered to employees as they are hired. They would involve the set up the venue during the months of late May through the end of June.

On Call General Labor
The Festival has various needs before, during and after the season where general labor is needed. Hours are not set. Projects may include, but are certainly not limited to venue set up, chair set up/take down, set load in/out, general moving of equipment and general cleaning of the venue. Projects would vary from easy/monotonous to challenging and/or heavy duty lifting and moving. Hours would be on call and hourly wage determined per project.
